FAQs
SHOULD I WASH MY HAIR BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?
Yep, that's right! Arrive to your hair appointment with clean & styled hair. I like to see what your haircut and color has grown, where the bulk is and what highlights need to be brighter. Many times I like to cut your hair before coloring.
If you arrive with dirty, oily and wet hair then we can't see the true color and the products & water are weighing the haircut down. It just gives me a better idea on how you wear your hair every day.
SHOULD I BRING PICTURES?
Perhaps the number one salon rule to remember: Always bring tangible inspiration that details your vision clearly and objectively. Describing the type of layers or shade of color you're looking for can be difficult, and the stylist might imagine your words differently. A picture is worth a thousand words.
HAVE (AND GIVE!) DIRECTION
Knowing what you want to do with your hair prior to your appointment will save you and your stylist a lot of time. Whether you’re looking for a cut, color, or a complete hair makeover, be sure to come in with ideas for your stylist to carry out. Take the time to research some hair inspiration and bring in photos of your favorite looks to help your stylist create the exact vibe you’re going for.
WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE?
Life happens, I get it! After you've booked your appointment you will receive a text that will provide you a link to reschedule. Rescheduling within 48 hours of your appointment will incur a fee.
GRAY COVERAGE CLIENTS:
SHOULD I WASH MY GRAY COVERAGE SPRAYS BEFORE GETTING MY ROOTS COLORED?
YES, the answer is absolutely YES!
You really need to wash with a clarifying shampoo for best results. Every oil from your hands and scalp, any styling products, any conditioner, all of that and definitely root touch up spray could affect dye penetration and come out patchy and not stick well. Also, with clean hair, it gives me a better idea as to how much gray hair needs to be covered. It’s hard to tell if you have sprays covering your grays.
